Advertising Proposal
With the economy the way it is, companies need to start thinking of cheaper ways to get the publics attention for their products. Maybe they shouldn't be spending a ton of money coming up with new ads to show the same damn thing over and over. Its hard to do that when every competitor a company has is coming out every month with a new ad. Personally I think that cutting down the time of ads will save money too. For the Super Bowl this year, Miller High Life had a one second ad. Instead of spending the millions for 30 seconds they spent a fraction less. Im not saying every one should have one second ads cause it would give people a headache changing so much. Maybe the norm should be 10 or 15 seconds. If every company cut back to half the ad, then the money would start adding up to a conseriable amount of savings that in turn they could help the customer save.

The project sounds like a very great idea considering that commercials these days are getting really ridiculous exspecially the prices. Your project doesn't really say what you are going to do at the public sphere day. I think you should write letters to some of the bigger companies that have a lot of commercials on television and tell them what you are thinking. Another thing you can do is make have pamphlets and brochures with statistics showing how much companies can save if they shorten the commericals and show how much each commerical costs.
ReplyDeleteThats sound good. I just get tired of seeing the same old things over and over in a new commercial by the same company.
ReplyDeleteYa it really does get old but when they come up with some new ones they get played way too much. Now if they used shorter time and not play them over and over again they would still be great after the maybe tenth time you see it.
